Notes

1. The cable supports PD, PPS, and PIQ 2.0 protocols for fast charging when using a single port; dual ports do not support PPS;

2. When only one device is connected, the charging power can reach up to 140W. Currently, only the 16-inch MacBook Pro (M3 Pro / M3 Max, 2021) supports 140W charging via USB-C. Other MacBook models do not support 140W charging;

3. When two laptops are used simultaneously, the first laptop plugged in receives a higher power. The actual power each device receives depends on its power needs;

4. When charging two devices at the same time, the total maximum power can reach 130W only if one of the devices requires more than 100W. Otherwise, the total power will not exceed 100W;

5. Use the recommended power adapter for optimal results. Charging two devices with a charger less than 45W is not advised as it will result in slower charging. Both devices must support the PD charging protocol. Non-PD compatible devices may experience slower charging.

When I think of the brand name Anker, things that come to mind are: innovation, quality, cutting edge, no false claims.
Over the last few years, I have lost a lot of confidence in the brand after a couple of poor quality power cords. This one though is pretty legit! I have tested the water/amp draw and it appears to not be too good to be true. I have noticed that the one and two star reviews seem to come from Germany, so I'm wondering if that could be due to their use of 220W?

Updated: Anker Customer service contacted me. They stated they would passbmy feedback on to the appropriate department.
This is what I like to see from companies.

Original: The quality of the cable is great as usual from Anker. I like the in between length, it works well for my needs.
However, when this cable is plugged in, with no devices attached, there is a parasitic drain of about 0.3 watts. This is probably from the chip inside deciding where to send the power.
This may not be a big deal for most, especially if plugged into a wall outlet; but used with a power bank, it is an unnecessary drain on the battery.
I am not sure how I feel about this parasitic drain from just a charging cable and will decide if I want to keep this product.

If I need something and Anker sells it, they're my go to seller. I read about this cable in a Google News Feed and thought I'd give it a whirl.

It does exactly what it's supposed to do - distributes charging power between two devices. The first one you plug in gets priority and it seems to charge that at max, but you don't have to worry about what power is going to what device, it intelligently sends no more than the power required. I've had dual headed USB-C cables and always worried about what is charging at what rate - no more!

At £17 this makes charging two devices using the same port worry free and the usual Anker quality means it'll last well. Highly recommended!
