Even if your company does not subscribe to pay transparency yet, more and more laws are passed requiring this crucial step into open disclosure in the company. For companies who want to stay up to date with what is popular amongst workers, then this is something that we need to pay attention to. While talking about employee salaries within the company might seem taboo this book will help us as a company get ready to release this information, it gives us a checklist of legal requirements and loopholes as well as pitfalls for us to be aware of. As such I found that this was very comprehensive, and I believe that doing this and implementing a paid transparency policy with the help from this book and a guidance from this author will help make the company be more competitive and more desirable for potential employees.

Pay equity legislation is something that politicians have been talking about for quite some time. Only recently, though, have aggressive and comprehensive laws moved forward in this area. Business owners may find the language of these new laws confusing, or they might not completely grasp the substance behind them.

This is a book that can help business owners or operators deal with pay transparency in a no-nonsense way. It explains what these laws are all about and how each company can take steps to comply with them.

It’s crucial that companies do this, not just out of a sense of fairness for the employees, but also so they won’t get into any trouble for misreporting their pay structures. There are also sections that talk about the best ways to collect company-wide data and how to rid yourself of potential disparities.

Any company owner who’s worried about compliance with pay equity laws should definitely read this book.

"Pay Transparency: Readying Your Organization for Pay Equity Legislation" is an essential read in today's society. The reality is that the average consumer/employee is facing the effects of inflation, and they want employers to fix the discrepancy in their incomes with higher wages. This argument is heard at the federal level, and laws regarding pay equity legislation are already in effect. Most of us, as business owners, just don't understand their impacts. Whether you think you're paying your workers fairly based on minimum wage and average wages or you want to ensure your compensation is fair and transparent, this book is an informative and helpful read.

This book is a fundamental tool that business owners and employees alike can use to stay informed and avoid unfair treatment. Pay equity laws have been discussed time and time again, but with more and more areas passing laws on this subject, it is time to get informed! I am not very good with legal terminology, so having a good reference that uses easy to follow language is so very helpful. I encourage any business to use this guide for understanding pay transparency, dealing with disparities, building a pay structure, and much more.

“A quick read on the topic of FAIRNESS. The author’s description of fairness – like diet or exercise or learning, isn’t an endpoint but rather a lifestyle – hits the mark. Who doesn’t want to be treated fairly? This is both a simple and complex topic. Avoid some of the pitfalls you may not have considered and check out this book for real solutions.”
