Set Up Amazon Astro for Business
Preparing your business to use Astro.
IMPORTANT: Beginning on September 25, 2024 Amazon Astro for Business will no longer function. In the coming weeks, Amazon will fully refund any Amazon Astro for Business device purchase to the original payment method used. If the original payment method expired or isn't on file, we'll issue a credit to your Amazon account. Amazon Astro for Business devices and Astro Secure subscriptions are no longer available for purchase. If you're an Astro Secure subscriber, you’ll no longer be charged any subscription fees beginning July 3, 2024 and will receive a refund for any unused, prepaid subscription fees to the payment method associated with your Ring account.
If you have a Day 1 Edition Amazon Astro household robot, your device isn't impacted and is still supported.
To set up Astro for Business:
- Outside of business hours, connect Amazon Astro to Wi-Fi.
- In the Amazon Astro app, sign in to your Amazon Business account.
- Place the charging doc near a wall outlet, on a flat surface that's measures 3 ft wide by 6 ft long in a location with a strong Wi-Fi signal and at least 15 feet away from any Ring motion detectors.
- Place Astro in front of the charging doc, with the screen facing away. Gently roll Astro backward, onto the charger.
- Wait for Astro to power on. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete setup.
