Q: Why was my "Ships in Product Packaging" item delivered in extra Amazon packaging?
A: If you are ordering multiple items, we may prioritize consolidation over shipping in the product’s packaging. Overall, we’re working towards filling a delivery vehicle as efficiently as possible to result in fewer trips. There’s also a possibility an Amazon employee made the decision to put it in packaging. We work closely with employees to gather feedback and continue to improve the Ships in product packaging program.
Q: How do I return items that were shipped in product packaging?
A: If you received the item in its original product packaging, without an Amazon box, envelope or bag, you do not have to add additional packaging to return the item. Items can be put back into the packaging in which the item arrived (product’s box or clear poly bag), securing any rips/tears/openings with tape, and the return label can be affixed directly to the outside, unless you selected a Label-free return option. Please make sure to remove or cover all previous labels. If you have selected a Package-free, Label-free return option, bring the item(s) you’re returning to a participating store and show your return code, they will do the rest for you.
