Analysys Mason's Environmental KPI tracker: telecoms operators provides publicly available data on energy consumption, CO2 emissions (Scope 1, 2 and 3), circular economy metrics (waste production and recycling rates) and net-zero target dates (across the whole value chain) for over 50 of the world's leading operators in terms of revenue. The data covers the period from 2018 to 2023 and is updated bi-annually.

The following metrics are published for over 50 of the top telecoms operators worldwide (by revenue).

    • Scope 2 (market-based and location-based definition, if reported by the operator)

For each energy consumption and emission metric, we also provide a per connection, per USD of revenue and a reduction rating value.
