Motorola has updated their Android OS update plan, and once more, Canada has to wait its turn patiently. The Milestone, which is essentially the same phone as the Motorola DROID, had its update to Android 2.2 (Froyo) “under evaluation.” Until today. Moto announced on their support forums that the Milestone will indeed get the tasty frozen upgrade treat: at least six months after United States DROIDs were given the go-ahead.
At this time the planned OS rollout is scheduled for first quarter of 2011. And we know what this means. Hope for January 1st, expect March 31st, and be resigned to further delays.
