Samsung’s Android tablet is subject of all kinds of rumors on how soon its launch will be. Will it be in the third quarter of this year? Or is the date August 11th significant? Samsung is hosting a “new products” event then, presented by Samsung President Tim Baxter.
This tablet, called the Galaxy Tab (after the Galaxy S mobile phone on the left), is definitely coming soon. Here’s a note Robert Bonestall, developer of the Magic 8-Ball App, received from Samsung.

due to Compatibility-Mode display.…
Please modify and adjust your application so that it would support the best
possible display on the Samsung Android Tablet device screen
(600X1024/WSVGA).This will ensure your application to provide a consistent environment across
all devices and that you can deploy to any new devices that offer different
screens in the future.**

New products coming at the August 11th event, and fix requests to developers on tablet display issues? Better take these tablets and call me in the morning.
