Hey check this out, there is an app for Dictionary.com and its doing well. There have been over 2 million installs on android phones. These are pretty impressive numbers since the app has only been out five months.
The free Dictionary.com app for Android delivers trusted reference content from Dictionary.com and Thesaurus.com, including more than 325,000 words and definitions and 300,000 synonyms and antonyms. The app also features phonetic and audio pronunciations, spelling suggestions and Dictionary.com’s popular Word of the Day that is enjoyed by millions of people.

Dictionary.com downloads would tend to support the assertion that Android’s market share is rapidly growing, as downloads of its app on Android mirror its growth (both Android sales and Dictionary.com installations have spiked simultaneously in recent months). While Android user behavior closely resembles that of Dictionary.com’s iPhone app in most ways, there is one glaring exception: top searched words (in which Android surprisingly is much closer to iPad, rather than iPhone – could this be an indication of user-friendliness?). Additionally, the Android app has shown unusually high page views per visit as well as eCPM. Does this give credence to the emerging perception of Android as something of an enigma?
