TELUS to get Samsung Galaxy Apollo: More Confirmation

Featured image for TELUS to get Samsung Galaxy Apollo: More Confirmation

In case you were having any doubts about TELUS selling the Samsung Galaxy Apollo, here’s some further proof above.  There hasn’t been much from TELUS about when the phone will hit, pricing, or the like, and until this leak the only other rumor confirmation was this back-to-school promotion.

The photo came from a tipster to Canadian wireless site MobileSyrup.  The Galaxy Apollo is fourth on the list of TELUS’ devices eligible for their Student 40 plan.  However, if you want actual, right-in-front-of-your-face confirmation, simply go to TELUS’ website and select the Student 40 plan.  After you enter your province, you’ll get to a details screen that has the list of qualifying handsets:

The Student 40 plan expires on October 5th, 2010, so unless TELUS is a big tease, the Galaxy Apollo should be arriving before then.

The Galaxy Apollo appears to be a mid-range Android 2.1 phone with most of the usual communication protocols.  Running on a 667 MHz processor, it has a number of features usually found on higher-end smartphones such as a compass, accelerometer, a 1500 mAh Lithium-Ion battery, GPS, and Bluetooth 3.0.  More specs here.
