Did you grab a copy of PowerAMP Music Player when the trial version was released early last week? Well, if you just LOVE it, you don’t have to worry about your new music player getting shut off after the 15 day trial ends. The full version just got released and is available in the Android Market right now, by buying an unlocking app for $4.99. The new v1.0 build-230 of the trial app not only supports the unlocker, it fixes a few bugs and added some features, too.
So what is PowerAMP? Maxim Petrov developed this Android music player and gave it some serious controls, like that 10 band graphic equalizer you see on the right. If just pushing a bass control up to hear the beats isn’t your idea of how to listen to music the way you want to, having access to those equalizer bands will definitely improve your listening experience. There’s a preamp control as well; Petrov added more customization options to make this player feel at home on your device. Folders, themes, album art, widgets… all there and more.
PowerAMP has really caught Android music lovers’ attention. Many users who jumped on WinAmp have moved on to PowerAMP. Released a week ago, it’s garnered high user ratings (over 4000 of them) and is in the 50-250K download category. Not quite Angry Birds, but for an trial app, that is pretty impressive.
