Approximately 4 million people in the US have purchased one of the variations of the Samsung Galaxy S. Approximately 4 million people in the US are STILL waiting for the Froyo (2.2) update for these phones. There have been many delays and many reasons as to why this update hasn’t been released in the US since it’s been clearly proven to work in other regions, and a lot of people are upset about this.
But now, the folks over at Phone Scoop have received a statement from Samsung stating “No. Samsung is not charging carriers for Froyo updates to Galaxy S. We hope to have more detail on status shortly. Promise!” For those of you who do own a Galaxy S device, this seems promising, but don’t get too excited as this has been a problem for over half a year.
But let’s hope this is the last delay and it will be released soon.
