Love Google Reader? Love Widgets? You're in luck!

Google has released an update for their popular RSS reader, Google Reader, bringing it up to version 0.9.2. The update adds a couple of widgets, a “mark as read” button, and Russian translations.

The “News Ticker” widget brings information to your homescreen in the same fashion that the stock News and Weather widget does, allowing you to see the all headlines from any stream. A quick tap on the headline will take you directly to the article, while tapping on the folder will take to that particular stream.

The “Unread Count” widget allows you to choose any feed, label, person, or “all items” and displays the number of unread articles. Tapping the widget takes you directly to the corresponding stream.
