Google’s Nexus S 4G headed to Sprint – Logo Leaked?

Rumors have been flying about Google’s own next generation phone, the Nexus S 4G. It has long been expected that this Google / Samsung collaboration will be appearing on Sprint’s 4G network.

Sprint planning to announce Nexus S 4G at CTIA?

The buzz about this exciting device appears one step closer to reality, as the logo which the Nexus S will wear has supposedly been leaked. It’s expected that Sprint is planning to announce its release at its press conference at CTIA on Tuesday March 22. Sprint has just tweeted an announcement of “exciting week of [Android] announcements” at CTIA next week.

Word on the street is that the Nexus S 4G is exactly like its cousin which runs on T-Mobile’s network, with the addition of a Wimax radio to connect to Sprint’s 4G network. Like the non-4G version, it will likely ship with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) factory installed.

For those of you who are looking for the “pure Google experience” on Sprint’s 4G network, stay tuned to this space for updates from CTIA on the Nexus S and other new devices.
