HTC EVO Phone and Tablet Rumored to have Dual-Core CPUs and Powerful Display and Image Capture

The HTC EVO 3D is going to be one of the most powerful smartphones on the market. For starters, it will be the first phone with a dual-core  1.3 Snapdragon CPU. It’s also rumored to include a “glasses-free” autostereoscopic 3D display, coupled with a dual-lens 5 MP camera, for capturing 3D images. Also expected are an additional front-facing camera, and high-density video output: 1080p output via HDMI-out (720p for 3D video). This is all expected to be running on the latest and greatest: Android OS 2.3 (Gingerbread).

Its tablet cousin, the HTC EVO View 4G, is expected to be built around a faster  dual-core Snapdragon processor: 1.5. It’s supposed to have a 7 inch display and be housed in an aluminum unibody design. The view will also supposedly feature front- and rear-facing cameras, and will run on Gingerbread as well.

It’s also expected that Sprint’s CTIA announcements will announce its own version of the Motorola Xoom (just like Verizon’s, but also ready to connect to Sprint’s 4G WiMax network), an eco-friendly touch-screen messaging device which even includes a solar rechargeable  battery (the Samsung Rant 3), and The Blackberry PlayBook (available in two flavors: WiFi and WiMax.
