With all new gadgets coming out it’s hard to get a company to commit to a date and pricing while rumors are spreading rapidly. However Motorola was nice enough to announce their plans to release their Wi-Fi only version Motorola Xoom in Canada this April. On top of that piece of great news, a company by the name of Future Shop has announced a pre-order and a price of $599.99. The Xoom has an estimated release of 04/08/2011. If you would like to skip to the end of the press release you’ll notice another great statement that the “Motorola XOOM 3G will also be available in Canada mid-year.” We’ll let you know as soon as we hear pricing for the 3G device and if there will be another pre-order offered.
If this news isn’t good enough we also can confirm Telus is on board and will be selling the Wi-Fi version of the Xoom also for $599.99. No dates are available at this time. Here’s a quote from David Fuller the Chief Marketing Officer of Telus.
