Motorola DROID X to Get Android 2.3 Upgrade?

The title is exactly what it is. According to our friends over at Droid-Life the Motorola Droid X will start to receive Android OS 2.3 (Gingerbread) starting Sunday (for Business users) and to everyone else the following week. This is very sudden but according to one tweet the official stable release candidate is ready and waiting for Motorola and Verizon to choose when it is ready for prime time.

Lets hope this rumour is very true and that soon Droid X users will be enjoying the sweet taste of Gingerbread. With a 1 GHz processor, 512 MB RAM, 4.3in 854 x 480 resolution, 8 mp camera and 8 GB of internal storage the Droid X is already an enticing prospect.
