ZTE Android Devices Arrive Stateside in Late 2011

The Chinese manufacturer ZTE has finally decided to bring a couple of devices to the USA. Premiered at CTIA 2011, the Style S and LTE tablet are expected some time in the second half of 2011 which means either or both could make for a great Christmas present for tech geeks. Both devices feature front and rear facing cameras, a must for any new device hoping to capture a big demographic (those who actually use the front facing camera and those who simply buy the device for novelty purposes).

The Style S sports a 4.3 inch screen which complies with recent studies reporting that consumers demand large screen devices. It is expected to run Android 2.3 for now, though that could change as Google continues to bring updates to its OS. The phone also packs a 1350 mAH battery, hopefully giving it a decent run cycle even when connected to 4G since most carriers will be aggressively pushing their 4G networks as we approach 2012.

The Honeycomb based tablet was not available for a hands-on experience but features a 1280 x 800 resolution 10-inch display. The 1.2 GHz is definitely something to be excited about, along with the 6800 mAH battery. Since neither of these devices were in working order we probably won’t see either until November at the earliest. Here’s hoping that ZTE will have enough time to upgrade each device to their latest OS.

Are you excited about ZTE coming to the US? Anyone eligible for an upgrade around the second half of 2011 and excited about the Style S? I know I’m looking forward to seeing how this bad boy performs.
