Lenovo looks to have taken notice of iPad’s latest addition being a keyboard case. They plan to one up Apple by announcing the ThinkPad Tablet and its portable keyboard dock. The above diagram shows how to connect the tablet with the dock but the rest of the story can be seen in the photo below.

July 2011 is the tentative release date for this intriguing, business-minded tablet that sports a list of specs worth $499. The 10.1 in. 1280 x 800 screen is backed with 16 GB, 32 GB, or 64 GB worth of storage that runs Wifi for 8hr on a full charge. The USB 2.0 port, Micro USB port, mini HDMI port, and 3 in 1 SD card all sound like valuable additions to any business man on the go that wants their tablet to plug in to any large screen they may encounter in a meeting. The dual core Tegra 2 processor will no doubt take full advantage of everything Honeycomb can offer and should be ready for the next OS for tablets as well.

Could this finally be the tablet you were waiting for? Think the iPad still has Android beat?
