Introduction:

Galaxy Pool is a new game for Android that has been in development for some time, and delivers a title that is addicting and entertaining. It combines the simple gameplay idea of pool with a major twist in that you control the walls instead of the ball. The combination provides for an intuitive yet challenging gameplay experience that requires logic and skill to complete. Galaxy Pool comes complete with top not visuals, social connectivity, and enough content to keep you satisfied for the immediate future.

 How To

The game begins exactly as you see pictured to the left. This is the first level and your goal is to make the “ball” into the “hole” which in this case is the planet. In order to receive a full score you must collect all three stars on your way to the planet. At this stage in the game you have no control over the ball besides releasing it and must rely on moving the bar to control where the ball ends up.  You can either move the bar by sliding it with your fingers directly or by selecting it an making adjustments using the two nobs to the left of the GO button.

As you progress in the game it will become increasingly difficult with multiple types of obstacles both stationary and moving that you must navigate through. Once you reach the second world of the game you are presented with a new challenge in the form of pink “black holes” that transport you ball in its current path to another pink hole location on the level on your way to the now pink planet goal. In cases where there are a large number of pink holes I suggest giving it a go before you start tweaking the walls just to see where each hole is linked to, so you can make the best plan of action. Just be prepared for moments of joy and moments of frustration along the way.

Opinion

“How about a pool-like game, but this time we control the walls, instead of the ball?”

Galaxy Pool is a new type of game that is destined for popularity. The combination of intriguing level design, fun game play, nice visuals and challenging puzzles make for an exciting addition to the Android game scene, one that I am truly excited about. I review a number of games, each with their own ups and downs, however when it comes to Galaxy Pool the only negative that comes to mind is that the game ends. I’m sure will future updates there will be additional content and I’ll be back at it again with the rest of you.
