Huawei Ascend P1 S

The Ascend P1 S is Huawei’s first foray into the high-end smartphone segment an attempt to shed their bargain bin stigma of the past. It is being touted as the world’s thinnest LTE device, and it will rock a 1.5 GHz dual-core TI OMAP SoC and run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It will feature a 4.3″ Super AMOLED qHD (540 x 960) display and an 8MP rear shooter. Huawei has decided to include a custom skinned version of ICS though interestingly has made it an option and not the default launcher on the device which is the right decision in my eyes. From the homescreen setting you have the option to “Switch to 3D Home” or stick with the stock launcher a decision which hopefully allows for a quicker update process. This should be a very capable device once released sometime in May.
