The latest phone from Samsung the Galaxy S III has now been confirmed by Corning to have the new Gorilla Glass 2 for its display. Gorilla glass has been used in top smartphones for that past few years and its ability to stand up to abuse has saved a number of you from mishaps. With the next generation Gorilla Glass 2 announced at this years CES the focus has shifted to the new trend of thin is in. While it hasn’t gotten any stronger we can enjoy the same strength in a package that is now 20% thinner than the previous design allowing for thinner smartphones including the new Galaxy S III.
