The Big Google IO Party!

This party was crazy. Just really, wild. First, a blast from my past came out and I heard the band Train, live on stage. It was really cool, I didn’t know much of their newer work, but still liked it. They sang a song about San Francisco which was fun, then later on in the evening, I’d wager it was ha;f through their set they brought a young lady on stage and had her sing, she said “I really can’t sing” course she was LYING! She sang a great bit of Don’t Stop Believing by Journey. The lead singer then called up a male from the audience. Soon we figured it was a contest to see who was better, an 11 or 12 year old comes up on stage and belts out an amazing version of Don’t Stop Believing! Wow, and he ended up winning a signed guitar. He really was a great singer, it was not his age, it was not for pity, he really sang well.

As the night rolled on Justin and I, and my friend Jeffrey all wondered around and ate tacos, sausages and swedish meatballs that were so good, the chefs were great. We had the possibility to eat so much more as well. I saw chinese food and vegetarian versions of everything there. There was also alcohol and soda, soda for me please. There were some really cool parts as well, we watched a metal robotic snake slither across the floor and a robot face get controlled by about 10 people at the party, 10 at once mind you, the different parts of the face were all controlled by different people.

There was android Mini golf, some light gun games (which were huge), a flight sim, virtual long drive golf, a virtual reality ball you could stand in, quadcopters, and music (Train and Paul Oakenfeld).

Over all, there won’t be a better for many years, much better than the days that I pretended to be a frat boy!
