What I Am Doing With My Nexus Q

I did indeed attend Google IO and I did indeed receive a nexus Q, most say “what is it” “how does it get used” “What am I ever going to do with it”, etc etc. The questions vary and no one knows what to do with it, it is perplexing, it is a heavy ball! It weighs a tad over 2 lbs and despite it looking weightless. It can connect via wifi or ethernet port and has its own speaker outputs. It can also plug into a television. It does have 16 gb of internal storage which is more than you can get in some phones and defintely enough, sounds like it is mostly for caching, guess we will see what hackers do with it.

With all that out of the way, I have been using it exactly how they wanted me to! I play music and videos for my friends and hopefully a little after launch my buddies Transformer Prime and his wife’s Evo 4G classic will be able to add music and videos to a playlist and we will all be able to choose items to watch/listen to and laugh.

This device can be upgraded, and it basically has the guts of a galaxy nexus, I know that people have had games running on this and they are not great, but it works, some just boot, some actually work.

If I had a second Q, I would put it in my room with speakers in the corners of the room, waking up and listen to good music would be a great way to wake, plus time in my room with my wife or alone would be fun as well, just hanging out. Two Q’s would be great, but for the price tag of $299, just don’t know if I can do it!

All that in mind, I like mine and I would buy another if it were $99.
