The closer we get to March 25th, the less there is to learn about HTC’s One (M8), the subject of so many leaks, both planned and otherwise. One secret you’ll be glad to know is that AT&T are holding a promotion called ‘Share the Secret Sweepstakes’, where they are giving away an ‘Amazing New HTC Device’ everyday until the launch on March 25. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that the prize is a HTC One (M8). And whilst you are only allowed to enter the competition once per day, you can qualify for additional entries if you choose to share the giveaway via the usual social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter). You can also earn further competition entries if you refer someone whom you already have an existing connection with, receiving an additional entry for every three friends who click the shared link to AT&T’s share-the-secret site.
After reading the terms and conditions, it would appear that if you weren’t successful in winning one of HTC’s latest and greatest handsets the first time round, then your losing entry would still be eligible for the remaining prize draws. Prize draws occur the day after entries are made, so the draw for the last day of the competition will be held on March 26, with winners to be notified via email soon after selection (see the diagram below for more prize dates). Naturally, with the competition being held by AT&T, an US carrier, the competition to win one of HTC’s ‘New Amazing Devices’ is only open to readers residing in the US. Hidden within the terms and conditions is the little factoid that AT&T have placed a $639 value on the prize, which gives an idea of what the unlocked version of the HTC One (M8) will cost, and is virtually an ironclad guarantee that AT&T are indeed offering the HTC One (M8) handset from launch.
