Any time a consumer has bought an HTC device, more specifically, a device in HTC’s One series, they have received 50GB of free storage on Google Drive. Now, HTC has upped the amount of data that comes with their One series devices. Now, if you buy an HTC One series device, you will get 100GB of free storage on Google Drive for two years.
HTC has not only upped the amount of data consumers can get when purchasing a One series device, but have also expanded the offer to cover a couple HTC Desire devices as well. The list of all the devices HTC has included in this offer now are the HTC One M8, One Remix, One Max, Desire 816 and the Desire 610. Select devices from 2013 will also get a bit of the promotion. The original HTC One, HTC Butterfly S, HTC One Mini, and HTC Desire 601 are also getting an additional 25GB of Drive storage for free for two years. In order to get the free storage on the older devices, you’ll need to upgrade to HTC Sense 5+ or Sense 6 when it becomes available.
If you purchase one of these great devices from HTC, you simply open the pre-installed Google Drive app on your device. Once opened, you’ll be presented with a screen that asks if you’d like to redeem the free storage- click redeem, and you’re set. Some reports suggest that if you’ve already purchased one of the devices listed above, and have also redeemed the included 50GB of free Drive storage, you’re also eligible to claim an additional 50GB of Drive storage. While this offer is a nice addition to you’re already nice purchase, as we mentioned the free data will stay free for up to two years. After that two years, you’ll need to start paying for Google Drive storage on your own, or rely on another offer like this to come around.
