Motorola has announced its new portfolio of devices at this year’s IFA in Berlin. The company has showcased new editions of Moto X and Moto G devices along with the much anticipated Moto 360 smartwatch and a bluetooth headset dubbed Moto Hint. The Motorola Moto G 2nd Gen. is the company’s new budget device, named exactly like its predecessor. Moto G is already available for purchase directly from Motorola and in US, France, UK, Brazil and Spain. Motorola’s affordable smartphone is now available in India as well via Flipkart. The device will set you back Rs 12,999 (approximately $215) and you can get the device in black and white color combinations with 16GB of internal storage. Flipkart also offers interesting promotions for Moto G buyers which include a 50% discount on all accessories (covers, cases, etc.), free eBooks worth up to Rs 1,000, discounts on up to Rs 6,000 of other Flipkart products and 70% discounts on annual subscription of india Today Group’s digital magazine of your choosing
Moto G comes with a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) IPS LCD display along with 1GB of RAM and 8 or 16GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card up to 32GB). The device is yet again powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz which comes with an Adreno 305 GPU for graphics processing. 8-megapixel camera is located at the back of the device while there’s a 2-megapixel shooter up front. 2070mAh battery is included in the package as well as Android 4.4.4 KitKat. The device measures 141.5 x 70.7 x 11mm and weighs 149 grams.
This is not exactly a beast of a device when it comes to its specs, but it should provide more than enough power for the majority of consumers, just like its predecessor did. At this price it is really hard to find a better product at the market as of now and Flipkart does offer some incentives for you to purchase the device from them. It looks like Motorola has yet another really appealing Moto G smartphone to offer and I’m sure many consumers will find this device suitable for their needs. Do you intend to purchase this device?
