New Moto X Specs

The new Moto X is now official, and we have specs. We all love specs, right? Well we’ve got plenty of them as well. There’s not a huge change in the specs from the Moto X to the new Moto X, but there’s enough for you to want to upgrade though.

The new Moto X features a 5.2-inch 1920×1080 AMOLED display that’s 423PPI with Corning Gorilla Glass 3, Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with an Adreno 330 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB and 32GB storage options and no microSD card slot. There’s also a 13MP camera on the back which can do UHD or 4K and has 4x zoom. There’s also a 2MP camera on the front that does 1080p HD video. Motorola has also thrown in some front-facing speakers which don’t look all that amazing, but just wait until you turn them on. Dimensions are 72.4mm x 140.8mm x 3.8-9.9mm (because the back is curved). There’s also a non-removable 2300mAh battery and it’s running on Android 4.4.4 KitKat which is stock Android, no overlay on top. We also have GPS, and GLONASS for location services.

There are four models of the Moto X, all of which support different bands. The Moto X should be coming to all four US carriers, with AT&T and Verizon getting Moto Maker at their stores. Additionally it’s launching in Mexico on Telcel, United Kingdom on Phones4U, France on Orange, and Germany on Phone House. Now those are just the retailers that will have the Moto Maker booth setup in their retail stores.

We’ve just gotten our hands on the Moto X a few hours ago, so there’s not much for us to say yet, but make sure you stay tuned for a full review coming up very soon.
