Today it was reported Samsung’s flagship device the Galaxy Note 4 seemed to be performing well in South Korea with all the major carriers reporting the device had fully sold out its pre-order availability. For US readers hoping to get hold of the Note 4 it was also recently reported pre-orders with Sprint are set to begin on September 26th, with the device expecting to ship October 17th. To add to this it now seems we can bring you some information on pricing and availability for any Australian readers out there.
Samsung have announced the Note 4 will be available to purchase (normally) both online and in-store from October 29th. However pre-ordering will be available in Australia for a two week period starting on October 15th. Pre-orders can be made either directly from Samsung stores or by other leading retailers (no details given yet on who these ‘leading retailers’ are). In terms of pricing the Note 4 will be available for AU$ 949 (roughly US $845). For those of you following the Note 4 you probably already know there are two versions of the device, the Note 4 and the Note Edge. The most obvious difference between the two being the Note Edge comes with a curved screen on the right side which allows users to easily see notifications and icons. There are also slight differences between the two in terms of screen size (5.7″ compared to the Edge’s 5.6″) and battery size (3,220 mAh compared to 3,000 mAh on the Edge).
For those of you more interested in the Note Edge then you will be pleased to know it will also be coming to Australia. However the release date is slightly later than the Note 4 with the Edge due to go on sale November 5th. It is presumed the Edge can be pre-ordered from the same time as the Note 4. In terms of pricing the Edge is a little more costly too coming in at AU$ 1,249 which equates to roughly US$ 1,110. Beyond the availability dates and pricing, at present there is no information on which carriers either device will be available through. Although it would be expected that all the major carriers including Telstra, Virgin and Vodafone will all be trying to get in on the action.
