Here we have the iberry Auxus Aura A1 smart phone being released in India, the worlds fastest growing smart phone market. In partnership with Ebay (India), iberry have launched the Auxus Aura A1 for a time-limited price of Rs. 9,990 ($163). The launch price is set to last for ten days, after which the price will apparently increase to Rs. 12,990 ($212).
So what does the Auxus Aura A1 offer you for your money? Well, just from looking at the images, the handset looks fairly attractive and quite business like. It’s powered by MTK6592 Octa-Core processor that is clocked at 1.4GHz and produced by MediaTek. Graphics are provided by the MALI 450MP GPU and there’s 1GB of RAM on multi-tasking duty. 8GB of internal storage is available, and you can increase this by up to 64GB thanks to the included Micro-SD card slot. As with many smart phones aimed at the Indian market, the Auxus Aura A1 has support for Dual-SIMS, as well as supporting 2G/3G and HSDPA. A removable 2,800mAh battery is included and should provide enough juice to get through a whole day without grabbing a charger. The Auxus Aura A1 weighs in at 140 grams with dimensions of 146 x 71 x 7.5mm. So its quite compact, just 9mm longer and 2mm wider than the 4,7-inch Redmi 1S (as a point of reference), although it is 2.4mm slimmer.
The 5-inch display has a 960 x 540 qHD resolution, and offers protections from life’s knocks thanks to Corning’s Gorilla Glass technology. The Auxus Aura A1 has an 8MP front-facing camera for the high quality selfies that people love taking, with a 13MP camera on the rear with a LED flash. The handset runs Android version 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box, which is said to be upgradable via OTA.
The launch price of Rs. 9,990 ($163) is a ten day exclusive to Ebay India, and to celebrate the Diwali (Festival of Lights) iberry are including goodies to the value of Rs. 3,000 (49) with every sale until 11:59pm October 9, just a few hours from now. These goodies include a Flip Cover, 2 x screen protectors (normal and matte), a crystal case as well as a jumbo headset. It’s a nice little package to help you get started with your new purchase.
