Today the Samsung Galaxy A7 has made an appearance on GFXBench, a cross-platform benchmarking tool. As you know, when a device uses a benchmarking tool, that means most of its specs get stored in a database which is good news for Android fans like us. And let’s just say that the previously leaked A7 specs might not be 100% correct.

The previously leaked specs of the Samsung Galaxy A7 suggested that the device would sport a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and be powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 410 processor. While these leaked specs are somewhat close to the specs revealed in the benchmark, they are not completely accurate. Instead, the benchmark says that the Galaxy A7 will have a 5.2-inch 1080p display and a 64-bit Snapdragon 615 processor. Both of these things tell us it will have a slightly higher pixel density and better processor than the previous leak suggested, obviously good news.

Going over the specs revealed in the benchmark in a little more detail, the Samsung Galaxy A7 contains the following. A 5.2-inch 1080p display, 1.5 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615, 2 GB of RAM, and 16 GB of internal storage. By the way, it’s important to note that only 12 of the 16 GB of internal storage will be available to the user due to the size of the OS. The benchmark also shows that the A7 will include a 12 MP rear camera and 4.7 MP front camera.

Rumors and leaks also suggest that Samsung will sell the Galaxy A7 as a mid-range phone, which makes sense when you look at it’s supposed specs. This means the device will more than likely be priced at around $450. But of course we can’t be sure of that as this is all speculation, we will just have to be patient and wait for the device to become official for more information. It shouldn’t be long now.

What do you guys think about all of this? Are the specs revealed in the GFXBench accurate? Or do you think the Galaxy A7 will have a different set of specs? Drop us a comment below and let us know.
