The other day we saw Verizon unveil its version of the Sony’s flagship handset, the Z3v, and today we have T-Mobile putting its version up for pre-order. Unlike the other carrier though, T-Mobile have refrained from tinkering with the model.

So what are you getting with your hard-earned cash? Well, you’re getting a 5.2-inch Full HD display, a Quad-Core Snapdragon 801 processor that is clocked at 2.5GHz, with graphics provided by the Adreno 330 GPU. 3GB of RAM is included, with 32GB of internal storage that can be augmented via the Micro-SD card slot under one of the flaps. The front-facing camera is a 2.2MP affair, with the ‘usual’ 20.7MP camera on the rear panel along with the flash. Unlike Verizon’s version, the T-Mobile Z3 does not support wireless charging.

T-Mobile’s Z3 supports Quad band GSM, UMTS Bands I (2100), II (1900),III (1700/2100), V (850) along with the following LTE Bands 2/4/17.  If you are planning on using a different SIM-card in the Z3 for whatever reason, you may want to check that it supports your chosen network. Being a flagship handset, the Z3 comes with Android version 4.4 KitKat out of the box, although I’m aware that Google are probably rendering KitKat obsolete with the Android L announcement almost as I type.

You can pick up the Xperia Z3 from T-Mobile on a variety of service plans, T-Mobile state the full retails price as $630. If you purchase the device during the ‘pre-sale’, you may actually get your handset delivered to you before the official release date of October 29th. As an added sweetener for PS4 owners, if you purchase the Xperia Z3 before October 28, you will receive a free copy of Sony’s newest racing game – DriveClub. You must remember to enter your info and upload pictures of your IMEI and sales invoice before November 14 though.

Its always been difficult to get your hands on Sony’s handsets in the States in previous years, does the Z3 make it worth the wait though and will you pick one up? Or is this too late an announcement now that Google have announced their Nexus 6 handset that will also be available from T-Mobile?
