Its been a big day for the Nexus 6. The day started like any other with the minimal information we had about its availability and likely November 12th release date in the US. Since then Motorola have opened their own pre-orders (and offering free shipping). In addition, Google has updated its country availability list for the Nexus 6 with 12 new countries (excluding the US) that the device will be available to purchase from on Google Play. One of those countries was the UK. Although it has been known for awhile that the UK will get the Nexus 6 there had been recent rumors that the device and its release date had been delayed.
Well, we can now bring you an update on this. It seems the Nexus 6 listing on the UK Play Store had updated. Yes the new information now advises that (like the US) both the 32GB and 64GB variants will both be available in the UK. Furthermore, we now know the prices for sure. The 32GB Nexus 6 will be available to buy for £499 while the larger 64GB variant will be on sale at £549.99. Additional information listed includes the device will be available in both colour options (black and white) and (again like the US) will include 6 months free Google Play All Access. Of course, this is where the information ends with no further details on when the actual device will be available or even when pre-orders will commence. We do (kinda) know that other third party sites like Mobiles.co.uk will commence pre-orders on November 18th. As such it is probably fairly safe to assume that on or before November 18th the pre-orders will also commence via Play. For those interested in the actual shipping date the best information we have for the UK is that orders might be shipping from December 1st.
