Just as I finished typing one Galaxy Note Edge article, another one came my way, both are China-related though. Samsung Galaxy Note Edge got listed on Samsung China’s website though Samsung didn’t set the price on its website. The device is now available for purchase in China though, you can get it via Gome and Suning for 6699 Yuan ($1090), which is a lot of cash. The device will quite probably be available via Samsung’s official online store in China soon as well, it is not at the moment (as of writing this article), the page is not accessible that is. As I said, that’s a lot of cash to splash out for the Note Edge, but I’m sure there are those of you who have been waiting for this device to come to China so you can purchase it and a price like this was to be expected. Let us know if you decided to pull the trigger and end up buying the thing or if you’re at least thinking about it.
Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Edge comes with a 5.6-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1600) display along with 3GB of RAM for your multitasking needs and 32 or 64GB of internal storage which is expandable via MicroSD card up to 128GB. This handset is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor clocked at 2.7GHz which comes with an Adreno 420 GPU for graphics rendering, which is basically one of the best SoC’s on the market at the moment, if not the best. On the back of this handset, you’ll find a 16-megapixel OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) camera while there’s a 3.7-megapixel shooter included up front. The device measures 151.3 x 82.4 x 8.3mm and weighs 174 grams. Android 4.4.4 KitKat comes pre-installed on this device with Samsung’s Revolving UX on top of it. 3000mAh battery is also part of the package and it should be able to push you throughout the day without any issues.
I’m not one of those consumers who would purchase something like this, nor any other odd “test” device for that matter, but Galaxy Note Edge really does offer some interesting features and judging by the reactions from around the web, some people really like it. Let us know what you think.
