As March slowly approaches, the race continues for all manufacturers and carriers to roll out Android 5.0 Lollipop to their respective devices. With each day that passes, the so-called ninety-day time frame becomes a distant memory. In terms of AT&T, there was no wild and furious claims as to when devices would (or should expect to) get their Lollipop update. In fact, AT&T seem to be somewhat calmer about their roll-out process and do so at their own pace, regardless of whether users are anxious to see their update land.

Take the Moto X 2014 edition, for instance. Motorola have been quite active in making sure their devices receive the Lollipop update as soon as they possibly can. In fact, the Verizon Moto X was reported to start receiving its Lollipop update all the way back in November. When you consider that by November this meant Google had forced the code out, Motorola had made their adjustments, Verizon had implemented the update for its carrier devices and then it was pushed out, that is pretty good going. Not to mention that the Pure Edition Moto X had seen its Android 5.0 Lollipop land even before Verizon did. In contrast, the Moto X on AT&T has yet to see the Android 5.0 update arrive at all.

Well, if you are an AT&T Moto X owner and anxiously waiting to hear when your update will come, then it looks like the movements are happening. Reports are coming in from some Moto X users that AT&T are about to begin their Lollipop soak testing. Well, the invites for the soak testing being sent out is what is currently being reported. This does typically mean that the soak test is about to begin soon enough. Which in turn, means that once the update has seen some time out in the field and seems to be running without too many (or serious) issues or problems, then the update will begin to roll-out far more readily to AT&T Moto X devices. Are you running an AT&T Moto X? Were you invited to take part in the soak testing? Let us know.
