It appears as though Hillary Clinton has made a pretty substantial hire today to be her new chief technology officer. If this is true, it adds some evidence to the idea of Hillary beginning a presidential campaign and running for Democratic president in 2016. This news comes from an anonymous person who is allegedly familiar with Hillary’s unannounced campaign plan.

The person that Hillary Clinton decided to hire as her new chief technology officer is a woman by the name of Stephanie Hannon. This is Google‘s director of product management for civic innovation and social impact. Obviously a big hire for Hillary’s campaign. When Shannon officially joins Hillary as her chief technology officer, she will be serving on the senior staff team and will be given her own team of engineers and developers. Said team of engineers and developers that would be working under Stephanie would be responsible for creating websites and mobile apps. These websites and mobile apps would be for engaging Hillary’s supporters and potential voters during her campaign run.

What Stephanie has been busy with recently at Google is building technology-focused tools that are designed to assist communities in responding to natural disasters. She has also been creating tools that help share information about elections, such as current candidates and ballot locations. Stephanie even contributed to the creation of a Google app you may have heard of called Google Maps. Other companies that she has worked at include big companies such as Facebook, Intel, and Cisco. Making her nothing short of a perfect candidate for any technology-based job.

While Stephanie may have a substantial amount of experience working for the top technology-based companies, does she possess any political experience? The answer to that is simple, no. Although, she did graduate from Harvard Business School with a master of business administration degree. She also obtained her degree in computer systems engineering and electrical engineering from Stanford University. So yeah, Stephanie may not have any political experience but there is no doubt she is a tad above most.

What happens next is a big tossup. This could all be a big rumor or it could be completely true and Hillary could have just hired an amazing woman from Google. Either way, there is no doubt that Stephanie’s skills will be utilized.
