Recently there has been quite a bit of rumors floating around the internet pertaining to Samsung’s latest rumored device. This device is the supposed Galaxy S6 Plus, a device that has been rumored to be coming for about a week now. Well, today more fuel was added to that rumor fire with even more details on the device emerging.
The latest word on the street is that the Galaxy S6 Plus will feature a display size of either 5.4-inches or 5.5-inches. Not only will the device feature a bigger display, but the display will also be curved on the left and right edges just like the Galaxy S6 Edge. Other details about the device that emerged today are that it will include a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor, 32GB of storage, 16MP rear-facing camera, and 5MP front-facing camera.
Something else that happened today is that a YouTuber you may have heard of, Marques Brownlee, otherwise known as MKBHD, had some information on the Galaxy S6 Plus. In one of his videos that he posted on YouTube he briefly talked about the Galaxy S6 Plus and also showed a pair of images that he believes are of the device. The two images clearly show the front and back of a Samsung device that looks very similar to the Galaxy S6 Edge. This is essentially all of the information that is currently available about the rumored Galaxy S6 Plus. Samsung is supposedly going to launch the device sometime in the next couple of weeks. Samsung is also set to unveil the Galaxy Note 5 at IFA, which will lead to an intriguing coexistence between the two devices. It will just be interesting to see if Samsung releases both a Samsung Galaxy S6 Plus and Galaxy Note 5 this year. What will be even more interesting though is if Samsung actually releases the two devices separately like the rumors seem to suggest. It just makes a bit more sense to release the devices simultaneously as they will likely serve similar use cases.
