Help Google "Prioritize Features" for Google Voice

Remember Google Voice? If you don’t use Google Voice, you’ve probably forgotten about it. Those of us in the US here at Android Headlines use Google Voice because it makes it easy to switch phones and still get phone calls and texts to our number. Google rolled Voice into Hangouts not long ago, actually it was about a year ago. There are still some issues that need to be fixed, and that haven’t been. Many of us thought Google had forgotten about Voice, or might be putting it up on the Spring Cleaning list. Where Google Reader was a few years ago.

Over on Google’s support forums, there is a new survey available for Google Voice users. This is here to help Google “Prioritize features” for the service. So we’d urge you all to take a few minutes and fill out this survey. It’s your chance to help Google fix Voice and hopefully keep the service around a bit longer. Hopefully they’ll bring it international, as it is a great service, even though it’s US only, still. If you fill out the survey, you’ll be entered to win a Chromecast, and the survey ends on June 17th, so you’ve got less than a week.

In the survey, Google asks you simple questions like when did you sign up for Google Voice, also how often you use the service for inbound, and outbound calls as well as text messages. They also ask what apps you use for Google Voice. Whether it’s the website, Chrome extension, Voice for iOS or Android, Hangouts for iOS or Android or even Google Talk. It’s a pretty short survey actually and should only take you about 5-10 minutes at the most. And hey, you could win a Chromecast. I know it’s the not the best prize Google could give away, but at least it’s something.

Google Voice is one of those services from Google that you’re not sure if it’s going to be around next year or not. We’re hoping it will be around, and that they invest more into the service. It’d be very great to see it available in other countries as well.
