Looks like a retailer might have dropped the ball and leaked out specifications for the Samsung Galaxy J7 which has yet to be announced by the manufacturer. According to the leaks that were released today, the Galaxy J7 looks to be fitting within the mid-range realm of smartphones and possibly one of the most important features for any phablet based smartphone could be the reason consumers will pass the Galaxy J7 up without giving it much of a glance to begin with. While this is based off a leak through a retailer, the specifications and details could change when the official word is given out through Samsung directly.
Because the Galaxy J7 is a mid-range smartphone, consumers shouldn’t expect to see those top-tier specifications from the latest smartphones, but then again, some of these specifications might catch you off guard. The biggest surprise may be that Samsung is delivering the Galaxy J7 with a 720 x 1280 resolution on the 5.5-inch display. Though 720p does qualify as an HD display, this particular handset will not outshine the competition by any means. Unfortunately, the display will likely show pixels relatively easily and to top it off, we’re starting to see 4K displays become more popular. Powering the device up is an octa-core Marvel PXA1936 processor with 1.5GB of RAM. Internal storage will give consumers 16GB of free space to download applications, audio, video, pictures among other various documents and files. However, if you would like to bump up the storage space then that shouldn’t be a problem as the Galaxy J7 will come with a micro-SD card slot. Right out of the box, the handset will be running Android 5.0 Lollipop which will be running the same version of TouchWiz as the Samsung Galaxy S6. With Dual-Sim support, the entire smartphone will be running off a 3000 mAh battery.
There still seems to be a few missing specifications from the list like the cameras built into the Galaxy J7. Since the leaked list of specifications came from a retailer that was also offering pre-orders for the smartphone in Kazakhstan, we’ll likely see Samsung make an official announcement for the upcoming device.
