A lot of you out there are heading back to high school or college soon, if you haven’t already, and of course that means it’s time to get some new tech. The carriers and technology companies know this and around this time of year they begin to offer up some pretty great “back to school” deals that eager young folks can’t resist. T-Mobile is the latest company to do this as tomorrow they will be bringing back their “Get a Tablet on Us” promotion, starting tomorrow.
T-Mobile’s “Get a Tablet on Us” promotion will offer customers the Alcatel OneTouch PIXI 7 tablet essentially for free. All customers have to have is a qualifying tablet data plan and it will get them the PIXI 7 for $0 with $0 payments. The only cost that the customer is going to be hit with is the sales tax, which should be next to nothing and is a great deal considering the fact that the PIXI 7 normally retails for around $170.
Keep in mind that the PIXI 7 is not the most bleeding edge Android tablet by any means, but it would be nice to have around, especially if you are heading to college or high school. Just throw the device in your backpack or bag, head to class and you are good to go. But you still probably want to know some general specs of the device so here they are; 7-inch 1020 x 600 display, 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor, 2MP rear-facing camera, 0.3MP front-facing camera, 8GB of storage, microSD card slot, 1GB of RAM, LTE connectivity, 3240mAh battery, and last but not least Android 5.0 Lollipop.
T-Mobile has said that existing customers will be able to take advantage of the “Get a Tablet on Us” promotion starting tomorrow, it will launch for everyone else on August 19. The deal will be available both online and at participating T-Mobile stores. So if you are a current T-Mobile customer and are heading to back to school or just want a free new tablet, you should be able to head down to your local T-Mobile store tomorrow and pick up the Alcatel OneTouch PIXI 7 and just pay the sales tax.
