Tickets went on sale only this morning for the 2015 edition of Google’s annual Chrome Dev Summit to be held at the Google Quad building in Palo Alto, California, on November 17th and 18th. As with the last couple years, the limited availability of passes ensured that they were all sold out within a short while of being made available online. Which was to be expected, as demand for tickets for the event has always far outstripped supply. The summit is aimed at helping web developers exchange ideas on new APIs and multi-device workflows, and to take part in various workshops and code labs. Now with tickets to the event sold out, interested developers will still have the opportunity to catch Google’s live streaming of the event straight from ground zero. Google has also said that it will be uploading all the sessions and presentations on the Google Developers YouTube channel.

While Google holds a bunch of events throughout the year aimed at specific target audiences, some like the Google I/O are more consumer-focused and hence get more coverage from the mainstream commercial tech-media. Google announces new consumer-centric products at the event, which these days, gets tons of attention for announcing a new version of Android every year. This year specifically, Google’s ATAP division made some rather interesting presentations about its much-talked-about developments which are in the pipeline for commercial releases at some stage in the near future. Those include Project Jacquard, Project Soli, Project Abacus, Project Tango, Project Vault and a number of other rather interesting projects. The Dev Summit meanwhile, as the name suggests, is aimed primarily at developers, and as mentioned already, is held yearly in the month of November. It is designed to help Chrome Engineers and developers write more innovative and exciting web apps for the platform.

Coming to the Chrome Dev Summit 2015, the registrations page for tickets to this year’s event now mentions that tickets are no longer available. However, interested parties without a ticket can choose to join the waiting list in case new spots become available. “Ticket Registration is now closed. Please join the waitlist for new ticket availability and information about the livestream” is the message that can now be seen on the page.
