For the first time, Google announced two Nexus devices this year, and they did so with a new partner as well. LG has returned to the fold with the Nexus 5X and Huawei has jumped onboard for the first time with the Nexus 6P. Both devices share the same DNA, with Nexus Imprint fingerprint readers, the same 12.3-megapixel Sony sensor and of course, pure Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Of course, if you look at the price tags of these phones and their screen sizes, they’re built for very different people.

The Nexus 5X is a 5.2-inch device with more affordable specs and a less high-end build than the aluminum Nexus 6P from Huawei. Elsewhere, the Nexus 6P differs with a larger 5.7-inch Quad HD display and 3GB of RAM instead of just 2GB, and it gains an extra two processing cores opting for the Snapdragon 810 instead of the 808. There are also 64 and 128GB options for the Nexus 6P, whereas the 5X tops out at 32GB. Either way, both of these devices are Nexus through-and-through, and to compare them quickly side-by-side we took a little video during Google’s San Francisco event, which you can watch below.
