The developers behind the AIDE-IDE for Android app have just pushed out a decent update that brings it forward to version 3.2, which not only adds in some improvements and new changes/features, it also comes with some premium keys that Intel has given out which users can apply for. If you’re not a developer then chances are you are unfamiliar with the app and will have no use for it. If you are a developer, and are already using the AIDE app, you can forego purchasing the $9.99 premium key and follow a simple set of steps for the chance to be given one fo the free keys that are available.
When it comes to the app, the most notable change is likely the newly added support for Google’s latest OS version, Android 6.0 Marshmallow. That isn’t the only new change though as the app also now allows users to refresh maven libraries, both functions which should prove to be quite useful to anyone already using the application. Alongside these two changes there are handful of existing features and functions which have been improved that users may or may not notice immediately, including updated Android SDK support, updated Android support libraries, and updated Google libraries. There has also been a fix implemented which corrects the issues users were having with the support libraries.
If all of this sounds good to you, then you should be able to see the update live in the Play Store. If you’re interested in getting your hands on one of the free premium keys so you can save yourself $10, all you have to do is exit the AIDE app, and upon opening it back up choose the expert option. You will be prompted to select a Google account to tie the premium key to, and after selecting the account you want to use for this purpose, it’s simply a waiting game as the team behind the AIDE app states that approval of sponsored licenses will be immediate, meaning you’ll supposedly be getting a fairly quick response on whether or not you’re getting one of the premium keys for free. If you’re unfamiliar with the AIDE app or Android Integrated Development Environment, it’s an app aimed at assisting in the development of Android apps from the device.
