When it comes to Android Marshmallow, or rather any software version update, NVIDIA have been good about getting them out to users in a mostly timely manner since the launch of the original SHIELD Tablet. The recently launched SHIELD Tablet K1, which came boxed with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop software seems to follow the trend as NVIDIA are supposed to be bringing the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to the SHIELD K1 later on this month, just in time for the holidays it seems, and to get users excited they have showcased some of what that software will look like in a new short video posted to their YouTube page.

This is just a sneak peek, so users won’t get to see everything that Marshmallow has to offer in the way of the SHIELD K1, but it does at least give some insight as to what owners of the device can expect with the update rolling out soon. What’s more, as it’s already been stated the software update is apparently just around the corner so it won’t be long before you’ll be able to discover the changes for yourself. NVIDIA also state that this will be one of the first Android tablets to experience Android 6.0 Marshmallow which just goes to showcase how committed they have been to providing the latest software to their users. As for what’s new and what’s coming, based on NVIDIA’s sneak peek video,

As for what’s new and what’s coming, based on NVIDIA’s sneak peek video, the first thing that NVIDIA points out is the new SHIELD camera app and UI, as things have been altered with a new design and the new app is designed to make better use of the powerful Tegra K1 processor inside. Another tweak comes to the app drawer which has been condensed into a single apps page now, and they have added in a Google Search bar at the top of the drawer to make finding apps and games simpler than before. NVIDIA also makes note of the Marshmallow apps permissions, which will be included of course, with the new update once it rolls out to tablets officially. Now On Tap will also be present, as will easier management of app and game storage between internal and external storage.
