The holiday season is one of the best times of the year for the economy, as consumers spend a lot of money on gifts for their loved ones. Since the rise of smartphones and other electronic gadgets, when you think of a gift, these are probably some of the first ones that come to mind, and also the most desirable ones too. On that note, Samsung needs to boost its sales and they have just released a new TV commercial featuring their flagship tablet, the Galaxy Tab S2. Inspired by the Holiday season, the 48-second video shows a little girl desperately waiting for Santa Claus to arrive with the usual bag of presents. Day after day (and night) she asks her father if Santa is coming, getting anxious every time the door bell rings or with any other noise. The father then reads a Christmas story on a Galaxy Tab S2 and the ad ends with “if it’s waiting time, it’s Tab time.”
Released back in July and available to the market since September, the Galaxy Tab S2 is indeed a good option if you want to gift or be gifted an Android tablet. With both 8 and 9.7-inch screen size options, the slate features an Exynos 5433 octa-core processor with 4 cores running at 1.9 GHz and the remaining four at 1.3 GHz, coupled with a Mali-760 GPU and 3 GB of RAM. There’s plenty of storage with options for 32 and 64 GB, and there’s also support for microSD cards of up to 128 GB. The main camera on the back has an 8-megapixel sensor while the front-facing shooter comes with 2.1 MP. The battery inside the smaller 8-inch version has 4,000 mAh and the bigger one comes with 5847 mAh of juice. The Galaxy Tab S2 has one of the best tablet displays out there with a Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels on both models, resulting in a pixel density of 320 ppi for the 8-inch and 264 ppi for the 9.7-inch.
These Samsung tablets are really thin with a thickness of just 5.6 mm, meaning it’s more than 1 mm thinner than the Galaxy S6 Available in Black and White options, you can find it at several retail stores and also online on Samsung’s website.
