A few days ago it was reported that Verizon will allow fans to use Moto Maker to create their own DROID Turbo 2 Star Wars Edition phone. An array of custom palettes based off of characters such as Poe Dameron, Rey, the BB-8 droid, First Order Stormtrooper, and Kylo Ren are among many. As awesome as this may sound Verizon has more to offer and released that information through a press release. This coming Monday December 14th, Verizon will host an Official Livestream from the red carpet at the World Premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
The livestream begins at 8:30 PM ET and gives Verizon customers a chance to ask the cast questions. In order to ask a question, you have to submit a tweet using the hashtag #TheForceAwakens. Be sure to tag Verizon so they can see your inquiry. In addition, Verizon customers have a chance to enter and win one of the 12,000 opening weekend tickets. If you’re interested in entering, you must participate in “Theory Wars,” which is a site where you can generate and share theories with friends on social media.
Now we already know about the customizable DROID Turbo 2 that you can create in Moto Maker but the Star Wars perks aren’t just limited to Verizon Wireless subscribers. Available tomorrow in the Google Play store will be the “Star Wars character wallpaper app.” The app will feature characters from the movie that you can use as a wallpaper on your device. With Star Wars back on the big screen, who would have known that consumers would be able to get a smartphone that is truly inspired by a movie loved by millions. The ability to create a Star Wars Edition DROID Turbo 2 will go live tomorrow and as stated earlier you will be able to create your device using Moto Maker. Not only will you be able to customize your phone using custom color palates based off of the characters from the movie, the back plate of the phone will also be inspired by each individual character, so consumer’s character choices will dictate the color accents applied here.
