Google is gearing up to be your Rio Olympics guide. It’s presented a series of new features today that will help users who are interested in following the games but may not be able to attend get a view of as much coverage as possible. This will include a handful of new features accessible across various Google products including Search, YouTube, Maps, Trends, and more. With the 2016 Olympic games coming up next week, Google’s Olympic coverage comes at just the right time for anyone who is wanting the ability to stay up to date on anything they possibly can, and features will be available on both Android and iOS devices.

If you favor things such as video coverage, YouTube will be featuring video highlights from the official 2016 Olympic broadcasters, and this will be available to view in over 60 countries according to Google, albeit without mentioning which countries those are. On top of posting video highlights, 15 of YouTube’s top creators will be visiting Rio during the Olympics courtesy of Google to give viewers a first-hand experience of what it’s like to be there, where creators will be utilizing the newly added YouTube mobile live streaming that was integrated with the app and announced back near the end of June. Users will also be able to get the TV schedules for the Olympics coverage on their local channels in over 30 countries. To some, the most important pieces of information may be the amount of medals won as well as the event schedules and information on athletes that are representing their home country, and this can all be found by using Search. Google does note that they have also made it possible to get automatic updates on this information if users search through the Google app and opt into them.

For those that may want to catch up on what the biggest Rio Olympics trends are, Google reminds users that they can use Google Trends to search for them, and for anyone who is interested in exploring the venues and different locations of the games at the Rio Olympics, Google has deployed a Map guide to the area to walk around with the back-mounted camera rig so users will be able to view the games like they were there in person.
