LG has already announced that the LG V20 is coming, and coming next month. It’ll be the first smartphone running on Android 7.0 Nougat (some reports and rumors are even stating that it’ll be first, ahead of new Nexus hardware, which would be unprecedented). LG, as they typically do, have been leaking out features and specs of the device left and right, looking to build up some hype for the LG V20 ahead of its release. This is something they do before every big flagship device. It gets people talking, but doesn’t leave much, in terms of surprises, for the actual announcement.
Mobile Fun, a retailer that offers up accessories for most flagship smartphones, has just launched their accessory page for the LG V20. It mostly showcases chargers and such that are pretty universal. But there is a listing for a Flexishield case for the LG V20, which shows the device. Obviously this is still just a render of the device, as manufacturers like LG, give companies the dimensions of the phone, but not any pictures of the actual smartphone, ahead of release. This is so that case manufacturers can get going on their offerings for their upcoming smartphone and have it available at launch.
There’s not much to look at here in this picture, but it does look pretty familiar. It appears that the dual cameras on the back is returning here with the LG V20. That’s a feature being carried over from the LG G5 from earlier on in the year. Below that is the power button/fingerprint sensor. So there’s nothing that’s really surprising here. Unfortunately, we are unable to see the entire phone in this picture, but the LG V20 is supposedly going to be modular like the LG G5 was. LG was proud of the fact that they were first to market with a modular smartphone, but the way it was carried out, wasn’t the best. LG did promise that the “Friends” for the LG G5 would be compatible with future smartphones – which includes the LG V20. Just a few more weeks until the LG V20 is official, so we should know more fairly soon.
