The latest figures are now coming through on the current level of Android distribution. What is likely to be the question most people want answered is whether or not Android 7.0 (Nougat) has now made it onto the list. The short answer is yes, as the current Android distribution figures show Nougat now on 0.3-percent of devices. So while it is not a massive entry to the rankings, it is still an entry. As is to be expected, these numbers relate to November with the data being collected over a seven-day period which ended on November 7.

In terms of the rest of the latest figures, Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) has managed to climb up to 24-percent. Which is quite a jump considering back at the start of September, Marshmallow was only at 18.7-percent adoption. Although it is worth keeping in mind that this is a change over two months and to put this into perspective, from August to September Marshmallow climbed up 3.5-percent. So the 5.3-percentage change noted for the last two months highlight a continued, but slow and steady climb to the top. Which does mean that as far as November is concerned, Android 5.0 (Lollipop) does remain at the top of the list based on distribution. Although it has seen a drop from its 35-percent figure in September down to its current 34.1-percent. This further breaks down as 11.3-percent for Android 5.0 and 22.8-percent for Android 5.1.

Moving on and Android 4.4 (KitKat) now stands at 25.2-percent. This again marks a drop as it has previously been listed as 27.7-percent in September and 29.2-percent in August. Android 4.1.x – 4.3 (Jelly Bean) now comes in at 13.7-percent (down from 15.6-percent) and this breaks further down as 4.9-percent for Android 4.1.x, 6.8-percent for Android 4.2.x and 2-percent for Android 4.3. Android 4.0.3 – 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) is one that has slightly steadied off this month, as it now sits at 1.3-percent (compared to the 1.4-percent it stood at back in September). While Android 2.3.3 – 2.3.7 (Gingerbread) also happens to be now sitting at 1.3-percent (down from 1.5-percent). Last but not least and consistent with the last few months in general, Android 2.2 (Froyo) remains at the 0.1-percent distribution level.
