The ZTE Blade V8 Pro, which was unveiled by the Chinese technology company at CES 2017 in Las Vegas earlier this month, can now be purchased in the US for $229.98 with free shipping. The model that’s currently up for sale is an unlocked version compatible with the LTE networks of major U.S. carriers. The device is available from ZTE’s website, as well as Amazon, Newegg and B&H Photo Video. The Blade V8 Pro comes with a few impressive hardware features for its segment, but none more so than a dual rear-camera module that incorporates a couple of 13-megapixel sensors with Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) and a dual-LED flash.

Taking a quick look at the hardware specs of the all-new smartphone, the device features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The panel comes with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, which gives it a pixel density of around 401 dpi. The Blade V8 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC, which comes with an embedded Adreno 506 GPU and a 64-bit octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU clocked at a maximum of 2GHz. The device ships with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, which can be expanded by way of a micro SD card of up to 256GB in capacity. The micro SD slot also doubles as a hybrid second SIM slot, so users will be able to use two different lines on the phone, but only at the cost of additional storage.

In terms of connectivity, the Blade V8 pro comes with dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, along with support for WiFi Direct and Wi-Fi hotspot (tethering). It also comes with Bluetooth v4.2, A2DP and A-GPS. Rounding off the key hardware specs are the sensors that include a fingerprint scanner, an NFC chip, an accelerometer, a magnetometer (compass) and a proximity sensor. The phone carries a 3,140mAh battery that supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 2.0 thanks to the presence of the Snapdragon 625 chipset. While the primary camera comes with dual 13-megapixel sensors, the front-facing camera is an 8-megapixel shooter that should be good enough for selfies and video chats. On the software side of things, the ZTE Blade V8 Pro comes with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the-box.
