Some of the key tech specs of Lenovo’s upcoming Moto G5 Plus have leaked out yet again. The Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus smartphones have been rumored in the media often over the past few weeks, and according to recent reports, both the mid-rangers are expected to be unveiled officially at the MWC trade show in Barcelona next month. The devices are expected to be replacements for the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus handsets that were launched last year, and rumors suggest that the upcoming devices will bring some interesting upgrades over their respective predecessors. The Moto G5 Plus is expected to feature a 5.5-inch display panel with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The panel is expected to be of the Super AMOLED variety, and will reportedly come with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 4 protection.

Taking a look at some of the hardware that Lenovo’s upcoming mid-ranger is expected to bring to the table, the Moto G5 Plus will reportedly be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 SoC, which incorporates an embedded 64-bit 2GHz octa-core CPU, alongside the Adreno 506 GPU. The handset is also believed to sport 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The device will also have a microSD slot for capacity expansion. Imaging options on the Moto G5 Plus will include a 13-megapixel primary camera and a 5-megapixel secondary camera, while the battery is expected to be a 3,080 mAh unit. One interesting aspect of the upcoming device is that it will reportedly have a 3.5 mm audio port, which has been going out of favor with many major smartphone vendors around the world.

Coming to the software side of things, the Moto G5 Plus is expected to have Android 7.0 Nougat pre-installed, and if previous Moto devices are anything to go by, the user interface should be pretty close to stock Android. The recent leak also suggests that the device will be available in three different colors – Black, Silver and Gold. If the new info is to be believed, the pricing may be a bit on the higher side when compared to the Moto G4. The device will apparently have an asking price of $300 globally, although Indian residents may have to pay Rs. 15,000 (around $230) to get their hands on it. Both the models are expected to launch in India in March 2017. Although, it’s important to remember that these are unverified rumors.
